A CTF team from UQAM + friends

Hubert Hackin’′ (you can pronounce it /ybɛʁakɛ̃/ à la française) is a CTF team of people that come from Université du Quebec à Montréal (UQAM) plus some guests, colleagues and friends. A lot of team members are not (were not) security professionals and just participate for fun.

The name of the team comes from the building number A (0x41) of the university named after Hubert Aquin (1929–1977) a Quebec novelist, political activist, essayist, filmmaker and editor.

The first final quote in' is an apostrophe (U+27) and denotes the elision of the g letter and the ing sound. It is to remind people to use the French pronunciation, but also sometimes to break some badly programmed HTML forms and applications.

The second final quote in'′ is not a quote but a prime symbol. It indicates the friendshipness and openshipness (do those words even exist?) of the team as it is not reserved for UQAMiens-pure-laine but also to anyone that share its core values bla bla bla. As a matter of encoding, we usually just use a second simple ASCII apostrophe character ' instead of a U+2032 prime character ′.
